Initial configuration
While in some cases sensors and central units may contain the configuration information used for factory testing, it is necessary to erase (reset) them before new installation.
Reseting of the sensor
• unscrew the two screws on the back cover of the sensor, remove the cover <br>
• remove the battery from the battery compartment <br>
• press together buttons 1 and 2 (see the sensor ) and keeping them down insert the battery. Wait till the sensor will switch to active mode (see the sensor ) <br>
• release buttons 1 and 2, indicator LEDs 1 and 2 will flash <br>
• reboot the sensor by removing and inserting the battery and wait till it is in active mode <br>
Reseting of the central unit
• unplug the power supply of the central unit <br>
• wait for about 15 seconds to fully discharge the internal electrical circuits <br>
• press the button «Connect» (see the central unit ) and keeping it down plug the power supply <br>
• the central unit confirms the erasing process by lighting up the yellow LED «PAIR» <br>
Connecting the sensors with the central unit
• make sure that the sensor and central unit are switched on (central unit with power supply, sensor with battery inserted) and the back cover is removed from the sensor <br>
• locate previously reseted sensor and central unit at a distance less than 50 cm between them <br>
• press the button «Connect» (see the central unit ) on the central unit - yellow LED «PAIR» should start to blink <br>
• press together both buttons 1 and 2 (see the sensor ) on the sensor board – the pairing process will start and both LEDs 1 and 2 will light up <br>
• in the event of successful connection performance the yellow LED on the central unit and both sensor LED’s will turn off <br>
• make tests with a detacher close to the sensor to make sure it will be detected. Corresponding red LED (1 - 10) on the central unit should light up for 10 seconds. <br>
• the central unit assigns the indication channel number (red LED’s from 1 to 10) to the sensors automatically in order of registration process (i.е. the first registered sensor will be assigned to channel 1, the second sensor to channel 2 etc.).

IMPORTANT! To prevent possible wiretapping of the configuration information the registration process and the connection performance between sensor and central unit is to be carried out at minimum wireless communication. Therefore the distance between the sensor and central unit should be minimal. <br>

Monster: /* Parameters description */

__TOC__
General functionality description
Device can works in configuration of two separate dual (two sensors) magnet detectors. So device has two connectors for magnet sensors cables (each cable connect two magnet sensors).

Device has two separate group of parameters (Magnet 1 and Magnet 2) for tuning dual magnet detectors and it has four groups of parameters (MS 1..4) for sensor tuning.
These parameter groups allow you to configure the detection of magnets by two dual magnet detectors separately.

The system responds to a change in the magnetic field in the range of the sensors. If reaction correspond to magnet detection settings it consider as alarm. So internal state is changing to alarm state, alarm counter is incrementing, common system buzzer is switching-on ("fast beeps"), external LEDs (1, 3) indication is switching-on.
After a short time when magnetic field is not changing (magnet is not moving) or it is out of the detection area, if reaction is less then magnet detection settings it consider as end of alarm. So internal state is changing to normal state, common system buzzer and corresponded external LEDs indication are switching-off.

Also each magnet detectors can use two-sensor measurements for filtering false alarms caused by "far located strong magnet" (urban transport, elevators), impulse disturbances (electrical drive of sliding doors, power converters).

At the same time, each magnet detectors can use corresponded metal detector data for correction the magnet detection.
These functions are intended for detecting magnets when used on an object (for example, cash registers of hypermarkets), in the area of operation of a system of trolleys with an iron structure, since iron has the properties of a magnet.

The device can send information about the number of alarms for a period or a message about the operation based state variables to account the statistics of the alarms and for synchronization with the video surveillance systems.

Parameters description
Parameters groups MS x for magnet sensor tuning.
* dV - the response of the system over the magnetic field
* th - sensitivity detection setting. The parameter values are selected based on the noise level (0.25 ... 10.0)
* Babs - current level of field strength in mGs measured by the sensor
* bsize - the size of the history buffer for analysis (100 - corresponds to 1 second maximum value 250, minimum 10)
* window - analysis window (50 - corresponds to 0.5 sec). The bsize / window ratio affects the speed sensitivity of the magnet
* in delay & out delay - time setting for detection when dV is exceeded above th and at detection loss at dV is less than th
* state - the state of detection of the magnet
* alarm counter - the lifetime magnet sensor events counter.
See figure 1 for details.

Parameters groups Magnet x for magnet detector tuning.

* dV - the overall response of the system to the magnetic field with compensation
* th - sensitivity detection setting. The parameter values are selected based on the noise level (0.25 ... 10.0)
* in delay & out delay - time setting for detection when dV is exceeded above th and at detection loss at dV is less than th
* state - the state of detection of the magnet
* alarm counter - the lifetime magnet sensor events counter.
* algo - the detection algo.
0 - Simple magnet detector. Detection is depended only on sensors sensitivity settings (MS 1, 2 for Magnet 1 MS 3, 4 for Magnet 2). When one of two sensors detects magnet it's consider as magnet detector alarm. dV is not affected in this mode
1, 2 - Dual magnet detector in gain sense mode 1 and 2. The main detection variable dV is calculated as a sum of each sensors responses without/with sign of values considering.
10, 11 - Dual magnet detector in magnet filter mode 1 and 2. The main detection variable dV is calculated as a delta sensors responses without/with sensors space orientation considering.
20, 21 - Dual magnet detector in metal filter mode 1 and 2. The main detection variable dV is calculated as a sensors responses with metal detector data compensations. In this mode is need to tune parameters from group Magnet x adv

Parameters groups Magnet x adv for tuning magnet detector in metal filter modes .
* tau - the parameter of calculating the rate of change of the metal response.
* win magnet - the size of the history buffer (5 - corresponds to 0.05 sec) for the analysis of changes in the magnetic field
* win metal - the size of the history buffer (10 - corresponds to 0.1 sec) for analysis of changes during the movement of metal
* AB magnet th, AB metal th - set ranges of dV for magnet alarm blocking
* K-magnet-2 - the parameter of taking into account the rate of change of the magnetic field
* K-metal, K-metal-2 - the parameters of accounting for changes and the rate of change during the movement of the metal

Setup procedure
1. To assess the level of the magnet's influence, use the variable dV, which should be chosen for monitoring.
The system should tuned to the best sensitivity when detecting moving magnets using the parameters th, bsize, window, in delay / out delay, taking into account the noise level.

The magnet detector is evaluated using the state and counter variables, as well as based on the external LED indication.

The range of detection depends on the level of magnetic induction of the magnet, the direction of its magnetic field and the speed of motion. For tuning, you can use a standard magnetic puller with an induction of 6-10,000 Gauss.

After the settings, save the settings.

2. False triggering in some cases can be caused by impulse and constant interference at the installation site, for example, when the sliding doors (especially with the DC collector drive) are close (<2 m), when power consumers switch on/off the power line (depends on Parameters of the mains), with close proximity (<0.5 m) of mains power lines, with close location (<25 m) of transport routes (metro, tram, parking). The detuning from false alarms can be performed by a load of sensitivity (increase in th), as well as an increase in the delay in triggering in delay.

3. For false alarm filtering select corresponded algo value from Magnet x group , use the variable dV, which should be chosen for monitoring.
The system should tuned to the best sensitivity when detecting moving magnets using the parameters th, in delay / out delay, taking into account the noise level.

Sensitivity adjustment
Sensor sensitivity provides the ability to choose the level of sensor response to magnetic field changes. It let us obtain the required detection range free of false alarms.<br>
Sensor sensitivity adjustment process is performed by consecutive pressing the button 2 «Sens» to choose the required sensitivity level. LED1 will be activated and LED 2 will make number of blinks which corresponds with the selected sensitivity level (refer to the table, default setting is highlighted).<br>
Sensitivity settings of the sensor:

Criteria adjustment
Criteria adjustment let us maintain the time needed for magnetic field changes to be recognised as a detacher. This allows to eliminate false alarms caused by phones, bags with magnet locks or magnetic random noise (high current commutation) which occur mostly for a very short period of time.<br>
Criteria adjustment process is performed by consecutive pressing on the button 1 «Criteria» to choose the criteria settings number. LED2 will be activated and LED 1 will make number of blinks which corresponds with the selected criteria level (refer to the table, default setting is highlighted).<br>

General installation issues
Common noise sources
:- moving objects containing metal (sliding doors, elevators, cash machines, payment terminals, trolleys etc.)<br>
:- smartphones and tablets nearby (especially with magnetic covers) <br>
Installation guidelines for optimum performance
:- Check the installation area for possible noise sources prior to installation.
:- Avoid any metal objects mentioned above.
:- Locate the central unit in a visible place for the shop/security staff. The distance between central unit and sensors should be less then 50 meters (depends on radio interference).
:- Choose a location for the microprocessor magnetic field sensors on a non-metallic surfaces and fix them at a height of about 1 - 1,3 meter using double-sided tape.
:- We recommend to use only one sensor pro fitting room if it is not wider than one meter.
:- Although the default settings of the sensors should work fine in most situations, it can be necessary to fine-tune the sensors for best performance in your specific environment (sensitivity and criteria adjustment).
:- Try to keep the sensor sensitivity as low as possible in order to avoid false alarms.
:- It is not necessary to get an alarm immediately during entering the fitting room as the detacher can be hidden and carried into the fitting room far away from the sensor. Alarm will be activated as soon as the thief will start to operate with the detacher to remove the hard tags - make adequate tests.
:- Don't transport the sensors with battery inside. The sensors will try to send information to the unplugged central unit permanently and will drain the battery. It is better to insert the battery directly before the installation.
Criteria adjustment process is performed by consecutive pressing on the button 1 «Criteria» (Figure 3) to choose the criteria settings number. LED2 will be activated and LED 1 will make number of blinks which corresponds with the selected criteria level (refer to the table 3, default setting is ighlighted).<br>
To turn on the sensor insert the battery. Both LED’s 1 and 2 will show by blinking pattern correspondent to current settings, first for sensitivity (LED2) and than for criteria (LED 1). Finally the sensor will send information: „Iam on”, „Battery status” and „Test alarm” to the central unit (if they were previously connected together). After that the sensor goes in active mode and is ready to work.<br>

General installation issues
Noise sources
The list below shows possible noise sources:<br>
:- moving objects containing metal (sliding doors, elevators, cash machines, payment terminals, trolleys etc.)<br>
:- railway, trams or busy roads with heavy traffic situated very close to the shop<br>
